Empowerment Series

The week of November 14-18, 2022, Dr. Wes Hall and I planned and implemented an Empowerment Series of events with the Clark County School District, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and the Harry Reid International Airport. These events serve as a follow up to the Inaugural Young Women's Leadership Conference held at UNLV on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

A variety of activities for the young women included:

  • Walk-through tours at UNLV

  • Tour of the Harry Reid International Airport

  • Field trip to the UNLV Law Fair with Canyon Springs Law magnet staff and students

  • Special Assembly at Canyon Springs High School-Law magnet featuring attorneys, judges and the Dean of UNLV Law School

  • Monthly Empowerment Series Newsletters

  • Upcoming field trip between Canyon Springs Law Magnet and UNLV Pre-Law and Law Schools

  • Clark County School District High Schools feature Leadership magnets along with the Urban League, Urban Chamber of Commerce, and the UNLV Business School
