On the latest episode of my podcast “Won’t God Do It,” I speak with Dr. Akida Kissane Long, a retired and exemplary educator and administrator from Los Angeles Unified School District. She dedicated her 35-year career to serving marginalized communities and establishing structure, support, resources, and most of all, unconditional love! Dr. Long is also an accomplished author of the book entitled, " A History of Los Angeles" and she is currently working on an App that narrates the history of Los Angeles. She also conducts annual tours of Los Angeles featuring the contributions of Founding Settlers and the important role of African Americans to the city. Dr. Long is also a Consultant to the Turnaround Arts: California Team.
