In Memory of My Mother
On March 13, 2013, my dear mother passed away. She will be sorely missed. Despite the loss, I have to feel a deep sense of gratitude, because she lived a very productive life and she did so much for so many people. This is a time of reflection for me and I decided to blog this week regarding my loss, because I want to remind us all that life is short.
We must appreciate each and every day given to us…it is a gift…and one that should not be taken for granted. We must also appreciate each opportunity we have to help someone else, encourage someone else, inspire someone else, encourage someone else…and watch our intentions, our attitudes, our motives and…absolutely…watch our words. My mother did so much in her lifetime to do all those things….AND MORE…she is an inspiration not only to her own children, but to countless others as well.
Live your life to the fullest! Don’t let the sun go down on your anger! Forgive quickly! Find the silver lining in every stormy situation! I choose to be a “do-er” of this advice in my own life! The legacy of my mother will continue in my words and deeds, so that I, too, may be an example for my own children and leave a positive imprint on the hearts and minds of every life I encounter…I encourage you to do the same!
